Features

We are developing high-definition 3D sound-filed acquisition sensing systems as well as 3D auditory displays based on our scientific knowledge of humans' 3D spatial hearing processes.
Sensing systems: (1) Sensing systems with two-microphone inputs which can enhance a target sound of a specified direction while preserving perceptual cues for binaural hearing, (2) Sensing system with a lot of microphones which can realize the precise and comprehensive acquisition of 3D sound field information.


Targeted Application(s)/Industry

Our technologies can be directly applied to high-definition communications, broadcasting, and comprehensive recording of sound spaces such as music performances in music halls as well as to sound-space surveillances, hearing-aid systems. Moreover, they may be applied in various applications in Kansei engineering, tele-existence, tele-works, and tele-medicine fields.
