Service Joint Research

Our university facilitates "Joint Research" with industry collaborators in consideration of its policy to maintain mutual respect and equality between the industry and academia. Under the Joint Research, our faculty members will work together with company researchers, and a "Resident Researcher" who conducts research in our university facilities may also be accepted from the company.

Determination of Faculty Member and Contents of Joint Research

If the faculty member to conduct Joint Research is already determined

Please consult with the faculty member regarding your requested contents, period, fees, and research plan for the Joint Research.

If you have your research plan but have not found the appropriate faculty member

Please contact Industrial Liaison Division, Head Office of Enterprise Partnerships. Our coordinator will support finding the appropriate faculty member.

Research Expenses

The research expenses required for Joint Research are calculated as the aggregate of Direct Expenses and Indirect Expenses* (i.e. Industry-University Collaboration Fees). If the collaborator dispatches Resident Researcher, we require a Resident Fee of 440,000 JPY/person/year (i.e. 220,000 JPY/person/6 months).

Indirect Expenses is calculated as 30% of Direct Expenses in principle and used for our university's promotion of industry-university collaboration activities.

How to Apply

If you have agreed on the contents, period, and fees for the Joint Research, please apply through the faculty member or to the administration office of his/her department.

You will be required to submit "Joint Research Agreement." Please refer to the Joint Research Agreement (Draft) for further details of its terms and conditions.
