Organizational Cooperation
Tohoku University, with its elaborate organizational cooperation scheme, establishes an inter-organizational model in which companies and the university collaborate and proactively utilize research resources of both parties in accordance with the company's needs. This organizational industry-university cooperation model is often characterized by the idea of setting up a steering committee composed of management personnel from both the company and the university so that large-scale research results are achieved with the aid of management.
We undertake flexible measures to meet the needs of each company. For epample, we make a road map, set a theme, and connect it to a collaborative research project in the organizational cooperation model. Other measures may involve broadening the area of research of a certain collaborative work at the basis and establishing large-scale projects that match the business strategy of each company.
Organizational Cooperation
Tohoku University facilitates organized cooperation with private enterprises and research institutes, and promotes practical cooperation in all areas where mutual cooperation is possible, such as research and development, human resources development, and in its responsibilities to the regional community.
