Features
We have studied fundamental technologies including biologically-benign microfabrication technology, movement technology for solutions and biomaterials, characterization technologies for biomaterials in nanometer domains to fabricate new types of integrated biodevices. Recently, we have developed a novel electrochemical Bio-LSI with multi measurement points.

Targeted Application(s)/Industry
This Bio-LSI realizes a rapid, comprehensive, and highly-sensitive current signals as low as 1 pA from biomaterials such as DNA, proteins, and cells. The Bio-LSI can be applied to next-generation bioarrays and also be applied for characterization of muscular, myocardial, and nerve cells differentiated from ES cells and iPS cells. The respiration activity and gene-expression ability can be monitored using the Bio-LSI. This project has been supported by JST and MEXT, Japan.
We will lend the Bio-LSI and control system to industries for cooperative developments.
