Features
The drastic progress of human genome sequencing technology allows us to obtain the individual’s high quality whole-genome information. Towards the personalized medicine and preventive medicine, each individual genome information will be absolutely necessary. Our organization, Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization, recruits the 150K individuals as a large-scale prospective genome cohort project in Japan. While this project, we are constructing the population scale infrastructure of Japanese genome information towards the personalized medicine and preventive medicine, e.g. thousands whole-genome Japanese reference panel, optimized SNP array for Japanese (Japonica array) and several tens of thousands pseudo whole-genome Japanese reference panel with imputation technology.

Targeted Application(s)/Industry
In parallel, many bioinformatics algorithms and tools related to genome information are developing, e.g. HLA inference software (HLA-VBSeq), ASE-Tigar and others (for more detail refer to our website).
